While you are in the Smokies you might want to take in a sporting event and from collegiate sports to semi-professional sports, the Smoky Mountain area has something for all those sports fans out there.  Semi-pro baseball teams exist on both sides of the mountains.  You can take in a hockey game in Knoxville or even sit in one of the largest college stadiums in America at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville.

BaseballTennessee Smokies – The pride of the Smokies, the Tennessee Smokies baseball team resides in Sevierville.  Their stadium is near the interstate and it is state of the art.  The Smokies provide terrific entertainment and even better baseball.  Come check out a game and see those stars of tomorrow as the play on a great farm team that filters its players to the major leagues all the time.

FootballUT Football – In the SEC, the University of Tennessee in Knoxville has one of the premier stadiums.  Seating over 100,000 people, going to see a football game at Neyland stadium is on the bucket list for a lot of sports addicts.  Add to that the chance to see a great football game and you have an experience that you will talk about for years to come.  The excitement of a huge crowd cheering on a major college team, every football season.

Asheville Tourists – Semi-Pro sports are all the rage in Asheville as well.  The Asheville Tourist is another great minor league team in the Smokies.  Watching baseball in the shadow of the Smoky and the Blue Ridge Mountains is a bit surreal.  Realizing that you are watching tomorrow’s great baseball players makes you throw yourself into the game.  Be sure you check their schedule before you arrive so that you can take in a great baseball game.

Knoxville Ice Bears – Minor league hockey!  The Knoxville Ice Bears bring the heat to the ice at each and every game.  Fast paced action with a championship team that has taken the league many times.  Their home ice is at the civic coliseum in Knoxville, TN.  The tickets are priced to sale and the games are a blast to attend.
