Situated along US-23 / US-74 between Waynesville and Sylva. Offers convenient access to the southern section of the Parkway from downtown Waynesville.

🚨 Check Road Closures

High-elevation stretches of the Parkway frequently close during winter or severe weather due to ice, snow, and rockslides. Always check the official NPS Parkway Real-Time Road Closure Map before heading out.

⛽ Fuel & Supplies

There are no gas stations directly on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Fill up in Waynesville or Maggie Valley before entering the parkway.

🌡️ Elevation & Weather

Temperatures at high elevations (5,000+ ft) are often 10°F to 15°F cooler than in the valley below. Pack layers, windbreakers, and extra water.

Dogs are permitted on Parkway trails and overlooks as long as they remain on a 6-foot leash.
