March 21 - June 21  Gatlinburg’s Smoky Mountain Spring / Location - City of Gatlinburg - Enjoy the streets of Gatlinburg as they come alive with the beauty of the spring flowers in hundreds of developed planters and baskets spread throughout the city.

April 1  5th Annual Mountains of Chocolate Gatlinburg Convention Center -A benefit for Friends of the Smokies. Sample some of the best Chocolate candy and desserts made by local restaurants and businesses as you enjoy music, face painting, clowns, and much more entertainment for the whole family. April 1 - 2  14th Annual Trout Rodeo Little Pigeon River - Over 2,000 fish stocked between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge With approximately $15,000 in prizes on tagged fish. For more information, call Greg Ward at (865) 429-3474.

April 20 - 23  Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community Easter Craft Show     Gatlinburg Convention Center. Open to the public - (865) 436-4315.

April 27 - 29  50th Annual Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage

May 19 - 21  Gatlinburg Scottish Festival & Games

SUMMER 2000

June 3 - Run Fer Th’ Hills 10K Roadrace / Location – Downtown Gatlinburg   Runners from across the country compete for prize money on this grueling  course – (865) 436-7991.

July 4 - Gatlinburg's 25th Anniversary 4th of July Midnight Parade
 arkway in Gatlinburg - The first Independence Day parade in the Nation begins at 12:01a.m. The route for the parade begins on Hwy 321(E. Pkwy.) in front of the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce office and continues through traffic light #10. (865) 436-2392.

July 21 - July 30 - Gatlinburg Craftsmen's Fair
Gatlinburg Convention Center - Over 150 of the finest craftspeople demonstrate their skill and offer their unique art for sale - (865) 436-7479.

FALL 2000

September 17 - November 23 -   Old Fashioned Hayrides
Take a trip through town the "old fashioned" way. Departure is from the River Terrace loading zone. For more information call (865) 430-4148.

September 15 - October 31 - Smoky Mountain Harvest Festival
A county wide festival including the cities of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville. Festivities include a decorating contest, special events, local craft shows, hay rides and much more. For more information call (865) 430-4148.

September 28 - A "Taste of Autumn" - Come sample some of Gatlinburg's finest recipes from area restaurants. Enjoy a charity auction including gifts, homemade desserts, and exciting vacations. October 1 - 31 - OCTOBERFEST - A German celebration presented by Old Heidelberg Restaurant throughout the month of October.  For more information call (865) 430-3094.·

October 4 - 22 - Gatlinburg Craftsmen's Fair

WINTER 2000

November 10- January 27 - Smoky Mountain Lights Trolley Tours
Come enjoy a guided tour of our enchanting Christmas light displays. Tours begin at 6:30pm and 8:00pm and depart from traffic light #6. For more information call (865)-430-4148.

November 10 - 8th Annual Smoky Mountain Lights Kickoff and Chili Cook-off - Join in the festivities as the City of Gatlinburg lights up the winter skies with over a million lights. Enjoy live music, and other entertainment while you sample some of the finest Chili in the South from area businesses. For more information call (865) 430-4148.

December 1 - "Fantasy of Lights" Christmas Parade
Enjoy the celebration of marching bands, helium balloons, and dazzling lighted floats from the streets of downtown Gatlinburg. Parade begins at 7:30. For more information call (865) 430-4148.
